CBM-Logix Limited secures £75,000 funding to support future growth

CBM Logix Ltd - Finance For Enterprise

Finance For Enterprise has confirmed the provision of a £75,000 loan facility to CBM-Logix Limited, an established Doncaster-based automation engineering and consultancy business, supporting the company as it navigates a challenging period and positions itself for future growth.

Founded in 2004, CBM-Logix Limited has built a strong reputation over more than 30 years of combined industry experience in software support and control systems, particularly within the food and beverage sector. The business delivers specialist expertise across four core areas: automation, integration, robotics, and technical & aftercare support.

These services encompass a broad range of capabilities including software development, automation consultancy, control panel manufacture, on-site services, turnkey solutions, proof of concept simulation, CAD modelling, bespoke end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), and cobot and robot integration.

In 2025, the business experienced significant operational challenges when a key member of the management team suffered a stroke. The resulting pressures placed additional strain on the wider team, who stepped up to support ongoing operations.

During this period, a number of projects were progressed under challenging circumstances and wider cashflow pressures arose due to delays commissioning activities. These factors caused trading difficulties and increased creditor pressure.

Despite efforts to manage the situation internally and discussions with its existing banking provider, the business was unable to secure additional funding support to ride out the temporary crisis.

The deal was introduced to FFE by Judy Hart, CEO of Investors in Excellence, a globally recognised specialist in performance improvement, organisational development and sustainable growth.

Finance For Enterprise subsequently worked with CBM-Logix to assess its finances and structured a £75,000 loan aligned to cashflow requirements, based on a daily cashflow forecast and working capital needs.

Buzz Mason, Co-founder at CBM-Logix commented “The last year has presented significant operational challenges for the business. We are sincerely grateful to Finance For Enterprise for the support provided at a critical time. This funding will enable us to stabilise the business, address recent pressures, and refocus on delivering for our customers, whilst also rebuilding a sustainable platform and profitable performance going forward.”

Tim Daniels, Senior Business Lending Manager, Finance For Enterprise: added “CBM-Logix is an established engineering business with a strong technical foundation and long-standing industry expertise. While the company has experienced a challenging trading period, we have worked closely with the directors to understand the underlying cashflow position and structure a facility that supports short-term stability while enabling the business to reposition for recovery and longer-term sustainability.”
