South Yorkshire-based Finance For Enterprise (FFE) has delivered an £80,000 business loan to fund the refurbishment of the Station Rd Post Office in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.
Since purchasing the Station Road Post Office, owner, Mr. Balachandran has steadily grown, improved and expanded the business to now cover two sites and employ 5 staff.
He found out about Finance For Enterprise as an alternative lender via the British Business Banks website and made contact to request help.
FFE facilitated an £80,000 loan to refurbish the Station Road shop and Post Office. The refurbishment will include updates to the toilets, store areas, and counters. The funding will also enable Mr. Balachandran to increase his stock offering, invest in a new heating system, improve facilities for his staff, and make improvements to the shops internal systems.
The loan has been secured as part of the Recovery Loan Scheme (RLS), which supports small and medium-sized businesses in accessing the finance they need to grow and invest. The funds can be used for any legitimate business purpose, including working capital or investment.
Commenting on the funding, Mr. Balachandran said, “I am very grateful to FFE for working with us to help secure much-needed investment. The refurbishment will not only make for a more pleasurable shopping experience for customers but also improve working conditions for staff members.”
Business Lending Manager, Jeremy Meadowcroft, speaking on behalf of FFE, added, “We are absolutely delighted to have worked with Mr. Balachandran to deliver his £80,000 Business Loan. The RLS is a fantastic government-backed scheme, which is a real lifeline for small and independent businesses looking for investment.”
