Yorkshire based, Finance For Enterprise (FFE) has provided a £250,000 loan to Dynamic Vines Ltd, a leading importer of premium biodynamic wines, to support the launch of a new retail store and wine bar in East Dulwich, London.

Dynamic Vines, founded in 2005 by Frederic Grappe, is based in Bermondsey, East London. The company specialises in importing and distributing biodynamic wines from independent winemakers across Europe, working with renowned producers in France, Spain, and Italy. With a strong reputation in the industry, Dynamic Vines supplies wines to some of the UK’s most prestigious establishments, including Harrods, Connaught Hotel, Four Seasons, and Ottolenghi restaurants.

The new retail store, located at 149 Lordship Lane, East Dulwich, will provide a dedicated space for walk-in customers to explore and purchase wines, as well as host regular wine tasting events. Currently, Dynamic Vines operates a wine shop at its warehouse, but its limited opening hours and space have restricted the potential for growth in direct sales. The expansion will enable the business to increase its retail offering, attract more customers, and enhance its brand presence in London.

The £250,000 loan will assist with the fit-out costs of the new store and wine bar. With work already underway, the business has invested its own funds to secure the lease and commence renovations. The additional finance will ensure the completion of the fit-out and help create two to three new jobs within the business.

Frederic Grappe, Founder of Dynamic Vines, commented: “We work with independent winemakers who produce outstanding wines using sustainable practices in the vineyard and minimal intervention in the cellar. These talented and often pioneering individuals create wines that offer an honest reflection of their origin and terroir. Our new retail store and wine bar will give customers an opportunity to discover and enjoy these exceptional wines in a welcoming and immersive environment.”

Gurinder Mandir, Senior Business Lending Manager at FFE, added: “Dynamic Vines is an excellent example of a thriving independent business that is passionate about its craft. We are delighted to support their expansion and help bring their vision for a new retail store and wine bar to life. This investment will not only boost their direct-to-consumer sales but also create new job opportunities in the local community.”

The store is set to open in the coming months and will operate seven days a week from late afternoon into the evening, providing a relaxed space for wine lovers to enjoy expertly curated selections. Regular tasting events will be held to enhance customer experience and drive footfall to the location.
