Finance For Enterprise (FFE), based in Doncaster, has bolstered its business lending team following the appointment of Neil Wade and Geoff Longden as Business Lending Managers.
Neil Wade joins the company as a Senior Business Lending Manager, bringing with him over 35 years of experience working for various high street banks. In his new role, Neil will spearhead efforts to provide working capital funding to SME clients, facilitating business growth, job creation, asset purchases, acquisitions, MBOs, and MBIs. He aims to forge strong relationships with key business introducers across the UK, including accountants, lawyers, and finance brokers.
Alongside Neil joining FFE as a Business Lending Manager is Geoff Longden. Geoff, who holds a Law Degree fromHuddersfield University and achieved his LPC at the College of Law in Chester, transitioned into the finance sector in 2013 after initially pursuing a legal career. With a decade of experience in high street banks, Geoff’s focus will be on engaging with introducers and identifying opportunities to secure funding for businesses that have struggled to access finance through traditional lenders.
Expressing his enthusiasm about his new role, Geoff remarked, “Joining FFE was an easy decision for me. In my previous role at NatWest, I assisted businesses in achieving their growth objectives, and I’m excited to continue this journey here. Helping business owners with their lending requirements and witnessing their growth is incredibly fulfilling.”
Neil shared similar sentiments, stating, “”I was introduced to FFE by a recruiter who arranged a coffee chat one Friday afternoon, and it turned into a four-hour conversation. The team made me feel incredibly welcome from the start, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to support numerous businesses with funding they might not have been able to secure elsewhere.”
Finance for Enterprise, Managing Director, Andrew Austwick added “I am thrilled to welcome Neil and Geoff to the FFE team during a period in which we have been named as delivery partners for the new £62m Community Investment Enterprise Fund (CIEF). Their experience and knowledge will undoubtedly enrich our team and broaden our capabilities, which will contribute significantly to our success in expanding our client base and achieving our business goals.”
Outside of work, both Neil and Geoff share a passion for football, supporting Newcastle United and Manchester United respectively. Neil also dedicates his time to raising guide dog puppies, while Geoff boasts a colourful past, having appeared in a short film for ITV4 and auditioned to be the weatherman on Channel 4’s Big Breakfast in his younger days.
